OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — Daviess County law enforcement providing new information on a series of drug raids involving several agencies. The drug raids began on Aug. 13, near Farmview Drive, with one man dying in the hospital after what police call a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
37 people are indicted on drug trafficking charges; 19 of them are from Daviess County.
“I want to send a message to drug trafficking organizations… individuals that may think that they want to push this product for money and power in our community locally. We’re not going to stop,” says J.D. Winkler, the Owensboro Police Department’s Deputy Chief.
