Daytona Beach man faces life in prison after conviction of sexual battery on a child

A Daytona Beach man faces mandatory life in prison after a jury took just 11 minutes to find him guilty Wednesday of sexual battery and other charges against a Palm Coast child, according to the State Attorney’s Office.

Daniel Rodriguez, 26, was found guilty as charged of sexual battery on person less than 12 years of age, lewd/lascivious molestation on person less than 12 years of age, and three counts of lewd or lascivious battery sex act on person 12 years of age or older but less than 16 years age.

“The defendant will spend the remainder of his life in the Florida State Prison System,” State Attorney R.J. Larizza stated in a press release. “He deserves nothing less!”…
