Rain is on the way as St. Augustine continues to face colder than normal temperatures

As St. Augustine continues to battle colder than normal temperatures, threats of frost or freeze have decreased for Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning because of cloud cover.

But that cloud cover could bring rain between midnight and sunrise on Thursday.

According to Ben Nelson, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Jacksonville, temperatures will remain in the 40s, so if it does rain, there will be no threat for frozen precipitation…
