TAMPA, Fla. — Hurricane Helene caused widespread damage across the Tampa Bay area, leaving several roads impassable.
So far, more than 12,000 miles of roads have been cleared by more than 800 Florida Department of Transportation crews, according to Gov. Ron DeSantis’s office. Crews are still working to clear several smaller roads.
