NELSONVILLE – Hocking College held a groundbreaking ceremony at The Lodge for their new Rescue Kitchen on Friday.
Guest speakers at the event included First Lady Fran DeWine, Lieutenant Governor John Husted, Robin Burrow of the Joe Burrow Foundation, Julie Richardson of SugarCreek Packing and Katie Funk of La Soupe Cincinnati.
The goal of the Rescue Kitchen Program at Hocking College is twofold: eliminate food insecurity by reducing the amount of edible food being wasted and thrown into landfills.
