Obituary: Logston, Marlene Louise

Marlene Louise Logston of Belpre, Ohio, died at her home on December 21, 2024. She graduated from Marietta High School. She, along with her husband Tommy Alonzo Logston, were owners of the Logston Plumbing, later changed to Stateline Pipe Corporation, where she served as Secretary. She was a member of the St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Belpre. She had been a member and officer of the Betsy Mills Club in Marietta, Ohio. She was also a member and officer of the Order of Eastern Star #151 in Vienna, WV, and the Order of Eastern Star #541 in Belpre, Ohio. She advanced to the higher honor of Deputy Grand Matron District #25 of the State of Ohio. Marlene and Tommy were involved in many Masonic and Order of Eastern Star functions and traveled nationwide as well as internationally. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She held her own license as an airplane pilot. She also enjoyed making crafts and spending time with her grandchildren and her dog Buttons, who was her pride and joy.

Survivors include three children, Rochelle (Joe) Boggs, Marshall (Darla) Logston, and Zane (Beverly) Logston, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Judy (Adrian) Vandyke.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Tommy Alzono Logston, her parents, Charles Sr. and Hilma (Steed) Wagner, and three brothers…
