Dodgers News: Yoshinobu Yamamoto makes his first rehab start with Oklahoma City.

Los Angeles Dodgers RHP Yoshinobu Yamamoto is set to pitch two innings against The Express in Round Rock Texas. If all goes well, he will likely make at least one more rehab start before rejoining the Dodgers. In July Yamamoto went on the IL, his injury was initially diagnosed as a rotator cuff strain but was later revised to right triceps soreness.

OKC batters faced Round Rock’s number two prospect Kumar Rocker. Rocker was called up from Double-A ball where he pitched nineteen and two third innings with a one ERA.

Yamamoto’s first inning looked really good. His command and pitch location were on point. Yamamoto’s fastball was clocked at 95mph and his split finger at 91mph. He did hang up a breaking ball that was hit for a home run…
