Three observations from KU’s 42-14 win over Houston

A closer look at KU’s win.

Kansas picked up its second win of the 2024 season on Saturday against Houston, winning 42-14. The Jayhawks handled the Cougars in the multiple facets of the game.

Jalon Daniels continues to improve and arguably had his best game. He finished the game 16-21 for 247 yards and three touchdowns on a 222.1 quarterback rating. He also threw zero interceptions for the second-straight game. Six rushers, led by Devin Neal and Daniels combined for 222 rushing yards. Neal led the way with 108 yards and two touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, Cobee Bryant had three of the Jayhawks’ four interceptions. KU had a dozen TFLs and half as many sacks, too.

The win comes at a pivotal point in the Jayhawks’ season and inflates the team’s momentum going into the second half of the season. With that, here are three observations…..
