A Bed-Stuy man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for the 2020 killing of Kenny Mark.

A Bed-Stuy man will spend 18 years in prison for fatally shooting the host of a house party in 2020.

According to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office, Ahmed Morrison — then 18 years old — attended a Bed-Stuy party hosted by 48-year-old Kenny Mark on Feb. 6, 2020. Morrison and a friend, Unique Howell, left the gathering and returned to the apartment hours later wearing ski masks and wielding firearms.

They broke into Mark’s unit, where several guests were still playing dice on a pool table, robbed one person of their wallet, and held others at gunpoint while they tried to swipe cash from the pool table. When Mark struggled against the robbers, he was shot twice — once in the abdomen and once in the chest.
