Boston Man Heading To Federal Prison For Federal Ammunition Charge

BOSTON, MA.- Today, January 22, 2025, Nicholas Carle, 36, of Boston, Massachusetts, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Richard G. Stearns to 42 months in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release for his previously entered guilty plea for being a Prohibited Person in Possession of Ammunition.
According to U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley and charging documents filed with the District Court, on December 18, 2022, after being stopped for a traffic violation, Carle jumped out of the vehicle and ran from Police Officers, dropping his coat as he fled Police Officers. Police Officers picked up the jacket, and inside the coat, Police Officers found a Smith & Wesson .357-caliber revolver loaded with six rounds of ammunition…
