Doodle dogs have become more popular than ever, but these sweet mixed-breed pups aren’t always as sweet and innocent as you may think. They may look like teddy bears, but they don’t always act like them! Doodles may be partly Poodle, which can sometimes give them a regal, majestic nature, but they can take after their non-Poodle parent, too.
Goldendoodles, for example, are 50% Poodle and 50% Golden Retriever. We may not think of these fluffy pups as Retrievers, but one Florida Doodle mom had a rude awakening when her pup’s retrieving instincts took hold. On December 15, the New York City transplant noticed her dog prancing around the yard with something in his mouth. When she took a closer look, however, she couldn’t believe what—or, in this case, who—he had!
OMG! Most dogs retrieve tennis balls or chase squirrels, but Leo prefers to chase the iguanas that sneak into his backyard. To be fair, this is the Floridian equivalent of chasing a squirrel or bird, but this time, the pup actually caught his target. This chaotic scene may be more common than non-Floridians realize, but it’s still easy to see why this dog mom was panicking…
