TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – More than 230,000 insurance claims had been filed as of Tuesday from Hurricane Milton, with estimated insured losses nearing $2.75 billion, according to data posted on the state Office of Insurance Regulation website.

The data showed that 230,314 claims had been reported, including 185,002 involving residential property.

Another 31,061 claims had been reported for damage to “private passenger” vehicles, with other claims for such things as commercial property and commercial vehicles…
