One Ohio man got the surprise of his life when he managed to win $50,000 off the last lottery ticket in the case at a Rossford gas station. According to the state’s lottery officials, the man — identified as just James — pulled into the station because he was craving a hot dog on his way home from work.
While at the Speedway on Dixie Highway, James decided to buy the last “Billion” scratch-off ticket in the case. According to the man, he had been eyeing the ticket for several days.
It was reported by officials that James had let his sister scratch off the remainder of the ticket after scratching off the 500x symbol on the ticket. “We were laughing and she goes, ‘you won $5,000’ and I said, ‘are you sure?’,” he said.
