TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women’s track and field team continues its indoor season with its first meet of 2025 in Ann Arbor, Mich. on Saturday at the Wolverine Invitational. The meet will begin with field events at 10:00 a.m. and running events at 11:00 a.m. The Rockets will send 22 student-athletes to the compete at the UM Indoor Track Building.
Before the holiday break, the Rockets saw action in their first indoor meets of the season on Dec. 6-7 as they competed at the Grand Valley State Holiday Open, Akron Haynes Lancaster Open and the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at Boston University. Senior Laura Nicholson broke the program record in the 3,000m event at the Colyear-Danville meet, recording a final time of 9:13.54.
Four athletes made their Toledo debuts at the Akron Haynes Lancaster Open. Senior Samantha Thomas had a successful first outing as a Rocket, placing second in the 200m (24.69), third in the 400m (55.81) and helping the 4×400 relay team placed fourth (4:02.99). Senior Haley Livingston placed fourth in the long jump (5.50m) while Sydney Caddell set a personal best in the 60m (8.04)…
