Auburn’s closing minutes of a comeback win at South Carolina was a ripe example of what the Tigers will need without their best player in the lineup.
With four fouls in his pocket, Dylan Cardwell played tremendous defense down the stretch of the game, limiting South Carolina star Collin Murray-Boyles one-on-one and swatting a critical shot late. Cardwell was then on the receiving end of Tahaad’ Pettiford’s go-ahead assist and dunk before Cardwell fouled out.
