The Philadelphia Eagles are in a bit of a pickle heading into the 2024 NFL season. The team they came into Week 1 with was either a hit-or-miss affair like they were on Thursday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers or just flat-out horrific like they were last week when they got manhandled by the Atlanta Falcons. The loss had much to do with being without star wide receiver A.J. Likely to be out at least a few weeks with the hamstring injury, Brown’s loss might just enable the Eagles to reach for an established former superstar to deepen their offense.
A.J. Brown’s Injury Impact on the Eagles
A.J. Brown is one of the league’s top receivers, who always seems to make big plays. This injury not only handicaps the scoring of his team but also puts much extra pressure on Jalen Hurts and their offense. Without Brown, it was slightly tougher for Hurts to handle the challenge against the Falcons. The offense could not continue its rhythm, and the absence of Brown’s energizing factor was felt all through the game. Brown being injured, the Eagles will have to look at what they can do in free agency. They already had DeVonta Smith and Jahan Dotson, but they could use another solid guy to further develop the receiver position. Free agency is the way to go.…
