A Slidell man has been convicted — for the second time — of raping a 9-year-old girl, after his first conviction was vacated because of a Supreme Court decision requiring unanimous jury verdicts.
This time, the verdict was unanimous, and Otto Alfaro, 69, again faces life in prison.
The jury deliberated around two hours Friday before finding Alfaro guilty of first-degree rape and molestation, the northshore District Attorney’s Office said.
