WENDELL, Mass. (WWLP) – Congressman Jim McGovern started his district-wide farm tour on Wednesday morning.
McGovern started his tour in Amherst and ended the day in Buckland. One of those farms is Diemand Farm in Franklin County. McGovern described the vital role local farming plays in western Massachusetts.
“We have an obligation to support our local farms and our local farmers and you know that we get better quality food from locally produced and locally raised food… I don’t know anybody who works harder than our farmers and so I wanna learn how we can help them be back at the federal level,” said McGovern…
