Albany, N.Y. — A 42-year-old Albany man has been charged with possessing dozens of ghost guns and using 3D printers to manufacture them, allegedly creating hundreds of 3D-printed parts.
State Police said they found miscellaneous gun parts and manufacturing devices as well as computers, documents and other electronics Demetrio Daga used to make firearms during a search of two homes Wednesday in Albany. It is not clear if either home was Daga’s own residence. Police found 13 handguns and 22 assault rifles — all privately made — according to a news release Thursday.
