After placing defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence on the injured reserve list and divulging that DE Micah Parsons will likely miss the Cowboys’ primetime showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, Dallas disclosed that starting wide receiver Brandin Cooks developed an infection in his knee after receiving injections for an injury he suffered in the team’s victory over the New York Giants in Week 4.
As a result of the infection, Cooks has been ruled out of the Steelers game.
The Cowboys will be without WR Brandin Cooks for at least this week vs. Pittsburgh and potentially longer after an infection developed in his right knee following a procedure he had after remaining in NY following the win against the Giants, according to multiple sources.
