Afterglow donates $130,000 to suicide prevention and awareness

ST. ALBANS CITY – After the lights and sounds of the music festival turned off, the Afterglow Foundation sets its eyes back to its drive to prevent suicide.

Checks making up $130,000 were presented by the Afterglow Foundation Nov. 15 to local suicide prevention and education organizations — Northwestern Counseling and Support Services, the Vermont Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the Josh Pallotta Fund, Spectrum Youth & Family Services, the Howard Center and the St. Albans Recreation Department.

Major sponsors in Deringer, Heritage Toyota & Ford, The Vermont Agency, TIA Advisors and Knight Reality Management as well as ticket sales from the 5th annual festival on September 21, created the money for Afterglow to send back to the supporting community organizations…
