WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – In addition to voting for people this November, New Yorkers have a say in changing the state’s constitution with Proposal 1, known as the Equal Rights Amendment.
New York State has already banned discrimination based on race, color, creed, or religion. The amendment furthers the list, including ethnicity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, and more. But some lawmakers think the proposition is about politics.
