Rutland topples So. Burlington, 46-28

Scintillating free throw shooting (15-for-16), a solid transition game and the always tough defense helped propel the Rutland girls basketball team to a 46-28 victory over South Burlington on Tuesday night at Keefe Gym.

“We had not been getting to the line that much. Our goal is to get to the foul line at least 10 times so tonight was good,” Rutland coach Nate Bellomo said. “We shoot free throws for 5 to 10 minutes every practice.”
