Howell boy wins sweepstakes to spend Thanksgiving with Lions

MICHIGAN (WNEM) – Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of Michigan has announced a 10-year-old from Howell won its #MIKidsCan Turkey Day VIP Sweepstakes.

Zach Baca, from Howell, will get to spend the day with their family and the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day for winning the sweepstakes.

“Congratulations to Zach and his family for winning this year’s Turkey Day VIP Sweepstakes,” said Andrew Hetzel, vice president of corporate communications at BCBS of Michigan. “This fall was Zach’s second year playing tackle football and he also plays travel baseball and rec league basketball. We are thrilled Zach will have a memorable Thanksgiving, getting to experience the Annual Thanksgiving Day Classic at Ford Field, in partnership with the Detroit Lions.”

Zach, and 9 of his guests, will be able to watch the Lions play the Bears, have a Thanksgiving meal at Ford Field, deliver the Lions’ honorary game ball, and ride on BCBS’s float in America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®, presented by Gardner White.
