Yesterday evening, East Oakland Park Boulevard experienced a disruption in its usual flow of traffic when a vehicle crashed into a streetlight, leading to significant delays and road closures. Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue swiftly responded to the incident which occurred west of Federal Highway, WSVN reports. The force of the crash was such that the pole toppled, ending up atop the car in question.
As consequence of the crash, the eastbound lanes were blocked, creating a bottleneck for the evening commuters. Florida Department of Transportation was alerted and brought into the scene to remove the fallen pole, as per FLFR PIO traffic alert.
