A Clay County woman became the ninth local million-dollar prize winner in the $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular scratch-off game since it launched in February, according to the Florida Lottery.
Dorothy Rendell, 58, of Green Cove Springs, plunked down $50 for her ticket at the Green Cove Food Store at 201 N. Orange Ave. and chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000, the Lottery announced Friday.
She claimed her prize on Aug. 23, according to the Lottery website. A state law allows for at least a 90-day grace period to release winners’ names unless waived…
