A missing mom’s mystery messages were “out of character” before vanishing, her family say.

Ashley Elkins, 30, was reported missing on Jan. 3 after leaving her ex-boyfriend, Deandre Booker’s, home to run errands at around 8:30 a.m the previous day. Booker has been charged with lying to police during the investigation – with prosecutors alleging he searched “is blood traceable” and “how to beat a polygraph” online.

Elkins lived in Warren, but her car was found in Roseville, another Detroit-area community. Now her mom, Monika Elkin, has said she felt uneasy about messages she received on the day she disappeared . Monika described how she messaged her daughter to tell her about a dream she had, in which Ashley came and took her mom’s truck and left her car in the driveway.

But when Monika checked in the dream, the car was gone, and was shortly later found in a grassy area with the trunk and hood open. Ashley reportedly replied to the complicated dream description almost immediately with a two-word response, simply saying ‘Awe, man”…
