CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A 24-year-old accused of brutally killing his mom and attempting to kill his two sisters is not going to trial anytime soon. Charlotte County deputies arrested Connor Crumrine in December 2023.
Investigators say he stabbed his mom multiple times. She eventually died later at a hospital. According to the 911 call, Crumrine then attacked one of his sisters.
Crumrine was evaluated by two doctors this summer and ultimately declared incompetent to stand trial. One doctor suggested the 24-year-old may have bipolar disorder. The other doctor noted a possible schizophrenia diagnosis. Both agreed the man doesn’t have the mental capacity to move forward in the case right now…
