LEHIGH ACRES, Florida — A false report of a school shooting at Lehigh Elementary School was made by a student on January 8, 2025, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. The incident, which occurred around 2:23 p.m., prompted a swift response from law enforcement.Multiple deputies from the 2nd Precinct were dispatched to the school following the 911 call, while analysts from the Real Time Intelligence Center reviewed surveillance footage and contacted the School Resource Officer to assess the situation.
