Buccaneers vs. Eagles: Week 4 Game Preview

Week three marks the return of the birds to Florida. The Philadelphia Eagles will be back in Tampa Bay for the third time in the last two seasons. The team’s have split in their previous two matchups, with Tampa claiming the ultimate bragging rights— Knocking Philadelphia out of the postseason a year ago. Both teams are 2-1, entering this game feeling as if they could easily be 3-0. Last week’s Game Preview prediction of a trap game looming was proven too accurate, this week there will be no traps. The Buccaneers are coming off a loss they did not expect to take and one they are undoubtedly embarrassed about suffering. The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-1, will step on the field as a respected opponent, and as a result should receive Tampa’s best shot.

How can the Buccaneers win this game?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to make this the week they get their offense back on track. The Buccaneers’ offense has scored just 27 points over the last two games. In those games, Baker Mayfield has a 1:1 touchdown to interception ratio and Mike Evans has only caught five passes. Evans’ quest to 1,000 yards, the offensive genius of Liam Coen, and Baker Mayfield’s early-season playmaking are all on the brink of uncertainty now.
