A fire that broke out at Paradigm Precision in Stuart, Florida, on Saturday night, was held in check by an automated sprinkler system, according to officials. Martin County Fire Rescue responded to an alarm at the facility located on Southeast Commerce Street, initial reports coming in shortly after 7:30 p.m. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a small fire near a table that had tripped the alarm system, prompting an upgrade to a working commercial structure fire. CBS12 News reports that an engine and an ambulance from station 30 were dispatched, along with crews from five stations who quickly managed to contain and extinguish the blaze.
The fire, while small, had the potential to quickly become a more serious incident were it not for the building’s sprinkler system.
