PORTLAND (WGME) — For the first time in nearly 50 years, dockworkers are walking the picket lines.
Thousands of them have walked off the job, demanding a better contract, higher wages and protections from automation replacing workers.
If it drags on, it could snarl the nation’s supply chains, leading to shortages again…
