Tigard police recovered several stolen guns from the home of a convicted felon while officers were responding to a domestic violence call early Tuesday morning, Nov. 12 in the 7000 block of Southwest Taylors Ferry Road.
“Responding officers learned a man pointed a gun at a woman and threatened to shoot her, hit her in the face and chased her with a hatchet before officers arrived and she safely made it outside,” stated a news release from the Tigard Police Department.
After identifying the suspect as Jason Alan Smith, 43, they discovered he was a convicted felon who is not legally allowed to have guns…
