Bucks County’s homeless population has doubled since 2021. A Bezos grant may help them.

As Bucks County continues to grapple with a rise in homelessness, a local nonprofit was recently awarded more than a million dollars in grant funding to help them combat the problem.

YWCA Bucks County was gifted $1.25 million from the Bezos Day 1 Families Fund to advance their work in assisting locals experiencing homelessness — the largest single donation received in the organization’s 70-year history.

What will this funding be used for?

Specifically, YWCA Bucks County representatives have said they plan to use these funds to increase their capacity to serve more individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the community.
