Cheltenham social studies teacher named head coach at his alma mater | History with Chuck: Craig Littlepage’s 1,000th career point

Ryan Nase, a Cheltenham High School social studies teacher and former Panther football coach, has been named the head football coach at his alma mater Father Judge High School in Philadelphia.

Nase (above left), a 2002 graduate of Father Judge, previously served as the head coach of Cheltenham High from 2017 to 2021.

According to local historian Chuck Langerman, Coach Nase compiled a 27-16 record in his four-year stint. The team went 14-2 during the 2019 season, setting a school record for wins and consecutive wins with 12 victories in a row. That season, he guided the Panthers to the Class 5A state championship game in Hershey where the Panthers dropped a 19-15 heartbreaker to Archbishop Wood on a touchdown in the closing seconds…
