Troop 140 in Conshohocken, along with State Representative Greg Scott and Mayor Yaniv Aronson, recently recognized four new Eagle Scouts. Scouts Donald Kunf, Cece Hormell, Jesse Fiermonte, and Sebastian Krolak. These four Scouts entered Cub Scouts together in first grade and have been working together all the way up through high school graduation.
Eagle Scout is the highest honor bestowed upon a youth in Scouting America. Only 4% of all youth that join scouting are able to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. In order to earn this award, scouts are required to learn, demonstrate and teach a vast number of skills, they are required to demonstrate the ability to lead other youth, and they are required to complete a significant community service project that they are completely responsible for, from the planning through the execution.
Troop 140 is a Scouting America troop serving Conshohocken and the surrounding areas. Troop 1140 is the sister troop, serving girls in the area. Both troops serve youth 11-18 with a focus on teaching leadership skills and citizenship, with a goal of preparing young people to make moral and ethical choices over their lifetime.
