Man pleads guilty to 2023 Reading double murder

READING, Pa. – A Berks County man accused of killing two men in downtown Reading in 2023 has pleaded guilty.

John Roman, 33, entered a guilty plea Monday on two counts of third-degree murder — the same plea his co-defendant made three months ago. Both were charged for killing two men on Penn Street.

“It’s another example of the great job that I believe the City of Reading Police Department is doing,” said Berks County District Attorney John Adams. “Their criminal investigations section has worked diligently to make certain that we apprehend and identify the violent offenders in our community.”…
