POUGHKEEPSIE – City of Poughkeepsie firefighters worked quickly on Friday afternoon to prevent a house from suffering major fire damage. The duty crew responded to a report of a fire on a second-story enclosed balcony on Taylor Avenue just after 3:00 p.m. Arriving firefighters found a small blaze on the balcony and went into action, with the fire knocked down less than 15 minutes after they arrived.
