‘I smell cologne’ | Armed robbery suspect charged with murder

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Kortez Ragland, an armed robbery suspect who was apprehended earlier this month after police noticed the smell of cologne while searching for him and his alleged accomplice, is now facing charges of murder.

Ragland and Kentraevious Hunter were arrested on Dec. 7, 2024, while police were searching for two suspects in a Nov. 23, 2024, armed robbery. Police arrested one of the men as he was walking along Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. The second suspect was tracked to a crawl space on Euharlee Street.

In the crawl space, an officer could smell cologne in the air, which ultimately led the second suspect’s arrest…
