Millbrook police say an employee with the Alabama Department of Corrections has been arrested after speeding and trying to evade officers.
Police Chief P.K. Johnson said on Friday, at about 1:50PM, an officer spotted a car that radar showed was going 83MPH in a 45MPH zone in the 2600 block of Main Street. This was during the time that the state faced a winter weather threat.
Johnson said the officer tried to stop the driver, who sped up and passed other vehicles until encountering traffic, which forced the driver to slow down and eventually come to an abrupt stop in the 4100 block of Main Street…
