From shelters to solutions: Switchpoint’s fight for affordable housing in Southern Utah

The housing market in Southern Utah is becoming less accessible, leaving veterans, seniors and low-income families with fewer options for stable homes. Amid this trend, Switchpoint, a nonprofit in St. George, offers a comprehensive approach to combating homelessness and restoring dignity to those in need.

“When they come into the shelter, we don’t turn anybody away,” Switchpoint Development Director Linda Stay said. “We don’t have room, or if they’ve had a violent offense or sex offense, those are the only people we can’t facilitate.”…
