MIDWAY, Utah – The Alaska Nanooks Nordic skiing teams participated in the classic individual 7.5k on Saturday morning at the Utah Invite. The ‘Nooks sit fourth in the overall Nordic standings with 114.5 points.
Kendall Kramer led the way for the Nanooks, earning a top-three finish in the women’s race. She finished her race in 23:15.0, recording the fastest second lap time with an 11:46. Tabitha Williams was the next Nanook finisher, placing 18th with a 24:29.6. She finished 1.3 seconds behind the 17th-place finisher. Rounding things off on the women’s side were Elsie Weiss (26:50.8) and Aila Berrigan (26:55.4), who placed 33rd and 34th. The women finished with 63 points, which put them fourth in the women’s standings.
On the men’s side, Ben Dohlby (21:20.2) was the highest Nanook finisher, tying for a 10th-place result with Denver’s Micah Steinberg. Josh Baurick posted a 22:24.7, good for 22nd place in the 7.5k race, and Aidan Hay followed in 24th place after racing to a time of 22:26.9.
