No bond for both men accused of fatally stabbing daughter, critically injuring mother

Two men arrested in connection with a stabbing that left one woman dead and another with critical injuries will remain in custody without bond until their trial, a judge ruled last week as Hurricane Helene approached Florida’s west coast.

Shad Loveless, 45, and Zachary Williams, 21, both of Fort Myers, face charges of aggravated battery; second-degree murder; and armed home invasion.

Assistant State Attorney Sara Miller filed a motion for pretrial detention for each of the men Sept. 24, which Lee Circuit Judge Nicholas Thompson granted the following day…
