Calls about man trying to access Northwood Middle School causes lockdown

King County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man for investigation of resisting arrest and obstructing an officer after an incident Thursday morning, Dec. 12 at Northwood Middle School in the Kent School District.

The incident caused a lockdown at the school.

Deputies responded just before 10 a.m. to reports of a person with a weapon, according to a Dec. 12 email from Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Brandyn Hull. The call was eventually updated to a call that a man was trying to gain access to the school…
