Diarrhea med above prep table, workers not washing hands found at Phoenix-area eateries

Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for Sept. 18, 2024:

Chou’s Kitchen – 910 N Alma School Rd, Chandler

3 violations

  • Employee peeled raw cucumbers without wearing gloves
  • No soap at hand wash sink
  • Raw beef and raw pork stored above raw fish

The Breakfast Club – 2 E Jefferson Street, Phoenix

3 violations

  • Employee grabbed raw sausage then bread slices
  • Hash browns and Hollandaise sauce not kept hot enough
  • Deli ham and turkey not kept cold enough
