After almost a decade with the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns is in uncharted territory with the New York Knicks. According to the latest intel from Evan Sidery, Towns was blindsighted by the move and headed straight for the gym when he found out, where he spent his last moments as a Timberwolf shooting in their workout facility until 3:00 in the morning.

Loyalty is far from dead in the NBA and Karl-Anthony Towns was as loyal as they get. He’s been with the Timberwolves since his NBA debut and after nine years with the club, he worked his way up to VIP status for his role on and off the court. When Anthony Edwards came to town, Towns was happy to take a step back to accommodate the youngster and he was ready to adjust when Rudy Gobert joined.
But with the NBA being a business first, no player is immune from being traded and Towns finally experienced that fact for himself after being traded to the Knicks . While most players would be happy about the move, Towns seems pretty shaken by the news…
