In the early hours of a Friday morning, the streets of Roxbury became the scene of a significant drug trafficking arrest. Boston police officers, patrolling in the District B-2 area, pulled over a man after noticing his vehicle’s expired registration. This routine traffic stop on Tremont Street and Columbus Avenue led to the discovery of substantial quantities of drugs and cash, and the arrest of a local Boston resident.
According to the official report released by the Boston Police Department, officers conducted a search of the vehicle as it was set to be towed due, to the expired documentation. It was during this search that they found three bags of what appeared to be Fentanyl, alongside a digital scale often used for weighing narcotics. The scrutiny extended to a more in-depth inventory where officers discovered additional drugs including fourteen bags of Marijuana, another scale, various empty plastic bags, and $592 in U.S. currency.
Lorenzo Myers, 37, the man behind the wheel, faced a consequent search which resulted in the find of three more plastic bags containing Crack Cocaine. Upon being weighed, the substances were identified as 31 grams of Fentanyl and 40 grams of Crack Cocaine – quantities resonant of trafficking more than simple possession…
