Boston police seize firearm, drugs in Dorchester raid

BOSTON — Officers from the Boston Police Department’s Drug Control Units apprehended a man and confiscated a firearm and narcotics during an early morning raid on a Dorchester residence on Jan. 24.

At 7:08 a.m., members of the E-5 and D-4 Drug Control Units executed a search warrant at 190 Fairmount Street as part of an ongoing investigation into drug activities.

The search of the property’s basement led to the recovery of a loaded Springfield XD-9 handgun, approximately 33.8 grams of cocaine, various cutting agents, digital scales, and materials used for packaging drugs…
