MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Law enforcement officials took a driver into custody for driving under the influence Monday, after the Secret Service says they were traveling in the opposite direction on the highway while Vice President Harris was in her motorcade.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office says just before 8:30 p.m., an SUV driven by a 55-year-old Milwaukee man was seen traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-94 at the Marquette Interchange, approaching the motorcade.
Deputies stopped the SUV as it drew closer and observed an “open intoxicant” in the vehicle. A field sobriety test was conducted and the driver was taken into custody on recommended charges of operating while intoxicated and recklessly endangering…
