Entertainment in the Hills: Fall brings Halloween thrills, musical tributes, ‘Swan Lake’

Autumn is off to an entertaining start with an abundance of theater and music in Black Hills.

Tributes to Frank Sinatra and Patsy Cline, the timeless ballet “Swan Lake,” an evening at Matthews Speakeasy, spooky thrillers, and more await audiences.

A prince falls in love with a swan who is actually a princess under a curse in the tragic love story “Swan Lake.” The World Ballet Company will perform “Swan Lake” at 7 p.m. Oct. 22, in the Fine Arts Theater at The Monument in Rapid City. Recommended for ages 5 and up, this production combines the magical music of Tchaikovsky, richly detailed sets and costumes, and exceptional performances by an international cast.
